With warm weather here, it is time to focus on pool safety. While our pools are used all year, the summer months have the most activity. Along with recreation and relief from the heat comes danger from drowning-especially for children. Ironically, in this predominantly desert state, drowning is the leading cause of death for children under the age of five.The Tucson Fire Department’s watchwords are “It only takes a few seconds for a child to drown”, and the sad part is nearly every drowning could have been prevented. Please help with keeping our community safe for everyone.
